| The four C's of a diamond are cut, color, clarity, and carat-weight.
It is important to remember that cut and shape are not the same.
Whatever the shape, a well-cut diamond is the work of a master
diamond cutter. When cut well, the diamond is able to better handle
light, creating more scintillation, more sparkle. With regards
to color, the best color is none at all. A diamond free of both
inclusions and surface blemishes has flawless clarity and maximum
brilliance. Carat weight is, in essence, the size of the diamond;
however, the other three C's play a greater role in determining
the overall value of a diamond.
